On the 10th October 2015, His Excellency The Honourable Hieu Van Le AO, Governor of South Australia and VWBro. Mal Hancock of Corinthian Lodge No 34, representing the Freemasons Foundation dedicated the training vessel "As Good As It Gets".

This was part of the "Sails for Sailability" project and the occasion was the season opening of the Goolwa Regatta Yacht Club. His Excellency the Governor The Honourable Hieu Van Le  AO was happy to ‘wish all well who sailed in Her’’.

The Governor was pleased to refer in his opening address to the assembled members and guests, to the contribution that Freemasonry (and in particular the Corinthian Lodge) had made to this project.

It was a proud day for Freemasonry being active in the community in a highly public way. Well done to everyone involved.

Please make a note in your diaries of Saturday 5th December 2015 as there will be a social get-together of brethren, ladies and friends at the Goolwa Regatta Yacht Club for a sailability day to be followed by lunch ($5 person) with the sailability members and families. Weather permitting there will be opportunities for a sail in "As Good As It Gets’’ - a great experience awaits to all who step aboard.

This will be the occasion when the perpetual trophy will be handed to the Goolwa Regatta Yacht Club. VWBro. Merrill DGS will be present on this  occasion. The masonic emblem with the 'flying pelican of the Corinthian Lodge in full splendour is pictured here.  For more pictures please click here:
