Education Diploma - Royal Arch Masonry

EComp. Tom Kwok of Queensland presented his "Lecture" to complete the Education Diploma of Royal Arch Masonry. This was done at a meeting of Stephen's Chapter No. 78, (QRAC) on Friday 2nd October 2015. The Course was written in Adelaide and offered to all States of Australia and New Zealand. EComp. Kwok registered for the Course in September 2013.

Donation to "Orange Tree Quilters"

A cheque for the amount of $1,000 was presented on Saturday 5th December 2015, from Mostyn Goodwood & Loyalty Lodge No. 18 and the Freemasons Foundation to support the "Orange Tree Quilters" who sew quilts to give to children who have to travel to Melbourne to undertake lifesaving heart surgery. This occurred at the Lockleys Child Care Centre, where they usually meet.

''Sails for Sailability’" Project - Corinthian Lodge No. 34

After the successful launch of the ''Sails for Sailability" Project, The Corinthian Lodge No. 34 (at Goolwa SA) once again acknowledges the assistance of the Freemasons Foundation. Following the Dedication and Sail Raising Ceremony in October this year by His Excellency the Governor of South Australia, the training yacht "As Good As It Gets’’ has been put through her paces at the Twilight Sailing Season at the Goolwa Regatta Yacht Club.

Presentations at Mostyn Goodwood & Loyalty Lodge No. 18

At the completion of the regular meeting of Mostyn Goodwood and Loyalty Lodge No. 18 on the 4th November 2015, the ladies and visitors were then admitted to the Lodge Room to witness the presentation of two 50 year jewels to WBro Douglas Glen Allen, PAGDC and WBro. Donald James Chisholm, P.G. Std. Br. An Honorary Membership Certificate also was handed out to WBro. Robert Hugh Gilliland M.S.A., C.M.S.

Mozart's Magic Flute Masonic Opera in Freemasons Great Hall

In what is understood to be a world first, Bro. Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s classic masonic opera, The Magic Flute, will be performed at Freemasons Hall on North Terrace as part of next year’s Adelaide Fringe and Festival from 19 – 24 February, 2016. Bro. Mozart was a Master Mason of a Viennese Masonic lodge called Zur Wohltätigkeit (Beneficence). His classic masonic opera will be brought to life in a new production created especially for staging in our Great Hall in February next year.
